Smashing Golf & Tennis to Unveil it’s Compression Line that Slims at PGA Show in Vegas
Smashing's key point of difference, slimming compression, has been the driver of a strong launch season. Now they are taking it national at the PGA Expo
Chicago, IL – July 20, 2011 Smashing Golf & Tennis, a high end fashion apparel company that manufactures golf and tennis apparel for women, offers a key point of difference from competitors — slimming compression. Smashing will be showcasing their line for the first time nationally at the PGA EXPO in Las Vegas this August.
"We have had many consumers, buyers and media, tell us to exhibit at the PGA Show," said Managing Partner Kelly Daugherty, "They really see the opportunity for our brand to take off."
Three Chicago area women, Kelly Daugherty, Jayne Drew and Alyssa Pazdan, designed and launched the Smashing Golf & Tennis line in March after noticing a void in the marketplace.
"We found many of the clothes in the pro shops were geared to the 20-year-old body," said Managing Partner Alyssa Pazdan, "We wanted to introduce a brand that was flattering for all body shapes and sizes. We wanted women to look as good as they feel."
Smashing's line offers compression wear which acts to not only enhance performance by keeping key muscles warm, but it also helps to camouflage women's key problem areas, thus shedding pounds from a woman's silhouette. However, the partners are quick to point out, it is not a plus size brand.
"Our brand is really for any woman that just wants a little extra help in slimming those key problem areas," says Kelly Daugherty, "We have sizes from XS to XL."
Smashing calls it "Fashion that Performs." In addition to the compression benefits, all garments are moisture wicking.
Smashing has received many accolades from the press in it's launch season, including a feature in Golf Digest, Shape Magazine and WBBM/CBS.
Coming off a strong launch season, Smashing is hoping to continue the momentum and expand to additional markets. "Strong sales and great press about Smashing all signal that now is the time to take it to the next level," said Managing Partner Jayne Drew.
Smashing will be exhibiting at the PGA Expo in Las Vegas August 23rd-24th.
